Prologue - Cry Of The Wild(KJ)

Morning, 10 am. Everything is peaceful in a tiny island, populated by many lifes forms. Wild life, hybrids and humans. The birds were tweeting, the wind was blowing, and a certain someone was asleep in a house nearby. Well, wouldn't you know it, that's me, KuraiJinx, also known as KJ. I'm a half tiger, half human teenager(I'm 16, in case you ask), with an ego, yet a humble spirit. Though I can be somewhat lazy and I have a tad strange habit of eating bread every now and then. In short, just a normal teenager. Except for the ears, tail and the bread fetish.

-Hey, KJ!!- Someone suddenly rushed in my room, waking me up and making me fall off my bed.
-Ow...! You better have a damn good reason for waking me up at a time like this, Jin- Oh. It's you, Kon. You're not usually up at a time like this. What happened?- I asked my "lil' bro" Kon.
-Eh, Jinx had to wake me up, so that I'd wake you up.- Kon answered.
-What, he couldn't have done it himself and wake me up and let'cha sleep?- I questioned, annoyed.
-Apparently, he needs us both and we need to be in his lab in 10 minutes.- Kon informed.
-*sigh* You go on ahead, I'll just go dress myself up.- I replied, yawning.

Ah, Kon, what can I say? He's like a brother to me(He's 7, by the way). Me and Jinx actually found him being bullied by a bunch of morons a few years ago. Worst part? The poor kid didn't have parents. Apparently, his parents rejected him because he was an accident. And instead of keeping him, they left him in an orphanage. Well, at least they didn't kill him. Seems like they felt bad for killing a newborn. At least they were humble enough to not kill him upon knowing of him. Either that or his mother was scared of abortion. I don't know the whole story. After we "rescued" Kon, we decided to bring him with us. From what he told us, the orphanage didn't like him too much and just didn't care at all about any of the kids. And here we are, we're sort of a family now. Kon's happy with us.

After I was done dressing myself up, I went to Jinx's underground lab. Kon was already there, like I had told him to. Jinx was inventing something new, like he does everyday, and I could just predict he was gonna test that on us.

-Oh, you're here! Good morning.- Jinx said, cleaning his hands on a cloth.
-Good morning to you too. *yawn* So, what's the fuss about?- I asked, still a little sleepy. Just a little.
-Well, I've been working on something recently.-
-As usual.-
-And I'd like if you guys could test it for a bit.-
-Called it.-
-Let me finish, please.-
-Sorry. Go on.-
-What I've built, alongside Nikka, are battle armors that could help use in big conflicts.-
-Oh! That's cool. Is it like those you see in Dragon Ball Z?-
-Sort of. These are equipped with the most advanced technology in the world. They're very resistent and durable, too.-
-Do they have any sort of offensive capacities?-
-Just a chest laser.-
-Lik- -
-Yes, like Iron Man.-
-Cool!-

Jinx is the brains of the team. Seriously, this guy has made the best equipment for battle, home, all that jazz. His IQ is quite insane. I don't remember if it was 290 or 310, but it's around that(And he's 15!). Oh, and he LOVES machines. The dude always goes crazy when machines are the subject. It's nuts. We live like kings in the island because of him. Though he doesn't do all the work. We do some stuff too. We plant, we do the kitchen stuff(since water plus robots is quite dangerous), we do what we need to do in the house. Wouldn't be fair if Jinx worked like a slave and we just sat there like lazy kings. Oh, and we're his "lab rats". Everything he does, with some exceptions, is tested by both me and Kon. Though we don't do it around the island, we have our own training room. Which was also built by Jinx. Yikes, he works a lot, eh?

Minutes later...

-Alright, Kon, you ready? Come at me with all you've got! And don't worry, I'll go easy on you.- I said, not to worry the kid.
-OK, I'm ready!- He said.
-Ready... FIGHT!- Jinx shouted.

Once Jinx gave the signal, Kon rushed towards me and threw a punch, which I immediately grabbed, and then he attemped to knee me in the stomach, but the armor prevented him from hurting me, but hurting him quite a bit in the process.

-You might've overdone it with the durability.- I said to Jinx.
-Yeah... I might need to make them less hard.- Jinx replied.
-No, it's fine... I'm OK.- Kon said.
-You sure?- I asked.
-Yeah...- He said, trying to hold his ground.
-You don't seem to be OK. You're struggling to stay up.-
-Am not...!-
-*sigh* OK, then. Hit me with the laser. Come on.-
-*pant* OK...! Wait, but how do I...?-
-Just focus, let it charge and then shoot it. But don't let it overload. It might kill someone.- Jinx informed.

After he regained balance, Kon took a stance, charged the laser for a bit and shot it. The laser didn't do any damage to my armor, nor did I flinch.

-Hum, is this the laser's strenght or is the armor simply too great?- I asked.
-Kon shot it too early. You've gotta take your time, buddy. Calm down, focus, take your time. Don't shoot it immediately.- Jinx said.
-OK...- Kon nodded.

Kon took a stance again and focused. This time, he took about 2 minutes and shot the laser again. This time, it pushed me back a few inches.

-That's better, but try to shoot a stronger one.- I said.
-Just don't stay for too long.- Jinx warned.
-OK, here goes...!- Kon once more took a stance and charged the laser. He charged it for three minutes, when I told him to charge it a bit more, with Jinx warning not to go past five minutes. Kon charged it for two more minutes.

-OK, then, that's enough, Kon, you can shoot!- I said, but he didn't shoot.-C'mon, Kon, what are you waiting for? Shoot it!- He didn't listen. He was so focused on the laser that he didn't listen to anything I said.
-Kon, shoot it! You're gonna overload it!- Jinx shouted, but he didn't hear him. Jinx was forced to go 'wake' Kon up, scaring him a little and making him shoot the laser, hitting me with way too much force for me to handle and pushing me against the wall. I hit the wall so hard the armor broke. Fortunately, I wasn't badly injured, but the armor was history. Jinx and Kon came to see if I was OK.
-You OK, pal?- Jinx asked.
-*pant* I'm fine, don't worry.- I replied, getting up.
-Kon, why didn't you shoot when we told you to?- Jinx asked, somewhat angry.
-I-I... I'm sorry...- Kon was scared and crying.
-Jinx. Don't be so harsh on him. He's just a kid. And besides, this is technology he can't deal with. He's inexperienced.- I said.
-*sigh* You're right... Sorry, Kon.- Jinx apologized, patting Kon's head.
-Now, about the armors. They're incredibly durable, but I'd suggest you removed the laser, just for safety. That thing is dangerous. And unstable too. I was lucky to not break anything or even die.-
-Gosh, KJ, don't say things like that!- Kon said.
-But he's right, Kon. I may convert the chest laser into a pistol or something similiar, but I need resources.- Jinx said.
-We'll go to the city tomorrow and see if we can get anything for you. You still have your license, right?- I asked.
-Yeah.- Jinx nodded.
-Great.- I said. Soon after, my stomach began growling.- Man, all that left me kinda hungry!-
-But you haven't even been here for two hours!- Jinx said, somewhat surprised.
-Jinx, Jinx, Jinx, you should know that my stomach is like an endless pit. It never ends!- I laughed.
-Eh, it's almost lunch time, anyway. You and Kon go take a bath.- Jinx told us.
-Got it.- Me and Kon nodded.

After me and Kon went took a bath, in individual showers, we went to the kitchen. Jinx's girlfriend, Nikka(Age 15), also a techie who helps Jinx in his work, while doing some work herself, was already cooking.

-Hey, boys!- She saluted us.
-Hey, Nikka.- Me and Kon saluted back.
-How did the training go?- She asked.
-Pretty well. The battle armors you and Jinx built are really gonna come in handy!- I replied.
-Glad you like them! And as reward for your effort, I did your favorite dishes!-
-Oh, goodie! Sphagetti with meatballs!- Kon said, making Nikka giggle.
-Hmm, sweet chicken meat with fries and rice...- I nearly began drooling just by thinking about it.-Wait, where's Hikari?-
-She's outside, in the beach.- Nikka replied.
-Huh. Well, I'll go call her. Just don't let anyone touch my food.-

I went to the beach to see Hikari, my girlfriend. She was staring at the ocean, quietly. I slowly approached her, so that I wouldn't be heard, but because she's half tiger like me...

-I hear you, K.- She said.
-Ah, shoot... There goes my surprise kiss... Heheh.-
-You'll have to be better than that, if you wanna surprise me.- She said, turning back and smirking.
-Why you...!- I said, almost laughing, when she ran to me and hugged me. -Whoa, wha- -
-That's how you surprise someone.- She said, almost laughing.
-Heh...- She then kissed me and I kissed back, suddenly remembering it was lunch time. -Huh...-
-What?-
-Almost forgot, it's lunch time.-
-*sigh* For someone with a big memory, you certainatly forget a lot of things.- She quietly laughing.
-Looks who's talking.

Hikari, o Hikari(Age 16)... Such a troublemaker, sometimes... But I still love that silly girl. What can I say? We just... Y'know. She's very special to me. I dunno how I'd be without her. She's an awesome girl. She's just like me! Well, almost. I still remember one time when we were walking around the island...

Flashback Time!

-Man, this is boring...- She said.
-Eeh, come to think of it... Perhaps peace isn't so great.- I said.
-I wanna bring some noise. C'mon!- She said, holding my hand and starting to run.
-Wha- W-w-w-wait!- I said, almost tripping.
-Come ooon! I want some excitement!-
-Aye, aye...-
-This should be good!- Hikari stopped running and looked in the horizon.
-What t- A cliff?! You sure this is a good idea?!-
-Just watch me.- She turned into her non-anthro tiger form and roared as loud as she could, with lots of birds flying away, in panic. She then laughed at it all.
-Heh.- I turned into a tiger myself.-Let the master do it. *ahem*- I took a deep breath and then roared as loud as I could. A bigger storm of birds flying away in panic happened, as I looked at Hikari and smirked. She smirked and tackled me, bringing me to the ground. We returned to our base forms(Hybrid), still smirking at each other. And then we just kissed. What, you thought we'd chased by a dinosaur? Come on...

End Flashback

Yup, good times...

-Hey! You coming or are you just gonna stand there?- She said yelled.
-OH, huh... I'm coming, I'm coming!- I said, running towards her.
-Don't tell you were having a wet daydream.-
-Nah, I was just... Y'know, stuck in the past, heh, heh...-
-Yeah, I know.-
-Jeez...!-

After Hikari and I arrived at home, we all sat in the benches and started eating. Me and Kon were eating like crazy! We're like, stomaches with no end. We just eat and eat and eat. About 3 times the same dish, with some bread in the mix. Man, is it good. After we were done, the sky began to turn black and a thunderstorm began. Fortunately, Jinx and Nikka built a shield around the island, just in case, since there are a lot of hurricanes in the area. Though what was odd was that this wasn't what Jinx's weather prediction said. And he's 99% right, most of the time(thanks to his machines and stuff). I had a bad feeling about what was happening. Something bad was happening out there, I was sure. But what could it be...?

The storm passed after a few hours, so me, Jinx, Kon, Hikari and Nikka decided to take a stroll in the island. We walked for some minutes, collecting stuff in the way, like fruit and some shenanigans, until we stumbled upon a trio of unfamiliar faces. Those three seemed like bad company, and I was willing to kick their ass in case they wanted to mess with my island. My buddies didn't trust them either, but little did we know, these guys weren't foes, but in fact friends. But because we thought they were bad guys... Let's just say things didn't turn out too well.
